Job Profile forProduct Developer - 45056 Position: Product Developer Location: Caerphilly Salary: £25,000- £28,000 Product Developer Job Overview My client is seeking a Product Developer to join their NPD team. This is a newly created position, ideal for a recent graduate with at least one year's placement experience in a food manufacturing environment who is looking to build a career in food innovation. The successful candidate will report directly to the NPD Manager and work closely with the Process and Packaging Technologists to bring exciting new food products from concept to launch. Key Accountabilities: Support the NPD Manager in developing innovative new food products from concept to launch. Assist with recipe formulation, sample preparation, and factory-scale trials. Conduct benchmarking and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Liaise with suppliers to source new ingredients and packaging materials. Maintain accurate records of trials, formulations, and sensory feedback. Support cross-functional teams including Technical, Operations, and Commercial during product launches. Prepare and present samples and documentation for internal and customer presentations. Ensure all products meet company standards for quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Communicate confidently and work effectively as part of a team. Product Developer Job Requirements Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related discipline. Minimum of 1 year's placement experience within a food manufacturing environment. A strong passion for food, innovation, and product development. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
