Weybridge, United Kingdom Haleon Full time

Hello. We’re Haleon. A new world-leading consumer health company. Shaped by all who join us. Together, we’re improving everyday health for billions of people. By growing and innovating our global portfolio of category-leading brands – including Sensodyne, Panadol, Advil, Voltaren, Theraflu, Otrivin, and Centrum – through a unique combination of deep human understanding and trusted science. What’s more, we’re achieving it in a company that we’re in control of. In an environment that we’re co-creating. And a culture that’s uniquely ours. Care to join us. It isn’t a question.

With category leading brands such as Sensodyne, Voltaren and Centrum, built on trusted science and human understanding, and combined with our passion, knowledge and expertise, we’re uniquely placed to do this and to grow a strong, successful business.

This is an exciting time to join us and help shape the future. It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.

About the role

The Global Expert Insights & Analytics team at Haleon is a diverse group of people who draw energy & inspiration from pioneering a completely new space in “FMCH” (fast-moving consumer health) – reinventing or defining methods and ways of solving complex business problems around a unique audience.  We are responsible for identifying growth opportunities through our healthcare professional (HCP/ ‘expert’) marketing & partnership programs. We bring clear, compelling data to support organisational investment choices and we build capability around our HCP audiences. We define, quantify and bring to life key opportunity spaces based on our audience knowledge and ability to see things differently, and are champions of marketing effectiveness. We work across the breadth of our consumer health categories to leverage synergies in learning across brands, audiences, markets and go-to-market models.

We’re privileged to work within a larger Insights & Analytics community, offering many opportunities to collaborate with highly experienced and culturally diverse professionals, and to participate in great training & development.

You will partner with multiple functions and business teams (global & local marketing teams, Marketing Services, Marketing Excellence/ Capability, Commercial Excellence/ Sales, Tech & Data). You will be expected to challenge the status quo and reapply or re-think B2C and B2B approaches into this unique ‘Expert’ space, to ensure a laser focus on performance, growth, and business outcomes.  You will play a pivotal role in the team, being responsible for foundational understanding of one of our Expert audiences and by working across categories to identify, test and scale new opportunities.  You will partner and influence senior stakeholders across many markets and up to Global Marketing Leadership level, and you will bring an approach of curiosity and passion to maximise the value of what we deliver.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead business growth transformation by synthesising and connecting available data into clearly sized or ranked opportunities, wrapped in powerful storytelling to guide senior leaders.
  • Hypothesise, identify, and prioritise in-market test + learn projects to drive greater effectiveness. Define and execute rigorous pilot methods & analytical approaches; leveraging learning and scaling pilots where appropriate, generating data points for future investment models.
  • Lead ad hoc projects for a key audience group, in close collaboration with the Global Category insights team. For example: semiotics to optimise our science presentation; segmenting patient groups to identify new activation opportunities; ethnographic research to leverage new equity opportunities; design thinking experiments to improve conversion mechanics; applying behavioural science to unlock changes in HCP and patient health behaviours; leading discovery of health literacy initiatives.
  • Be the business partner for a Category Expert marketing team, leveraging all available data and analyses to solve growth challenges and input to strategic future direction.
  • Be the champion for creative effectiveness for Expert within a category, partnering to develop deep, enduring insights, through the development of creative briefs to running primary research and review.
  • Work closely with Global and Local Expert teams to continually build capability around Expert audiences and marketing effectiveness. Lead specific capability programs, using foundational audience understanding, analytics and modelling to demonstrate value and build practical skills.
  • Responsible for the initial curation, updating and creative deployment of our understanding of an HCP audience group. Ensure stakeholders across the organisation have sufficient knowledge and confidence to make data-driven decisions and to be inspired about the business & reputational potential of Expert marketing.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • Experience leading multi-country projects and in quantitative research design and business application of analytic techniques.
  • Strong experience in the application of both insights & analytics.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organisation.

Preferred

  • Experience working with different cultures or in a multi-cultural environment is helpful because of the number of markets and stakeholders involved in this role.
  • Specialisation in mathematics, statistics, or data science would be an advantage given the need for sizing, scenario planning and evidentiary ‘investment proof points’ required.
  • Confident style with very strong interpersonal communication skills – written and oral, especially storytelling with data.
  • Courageous to challenge the status quo, to think outside-the-box to address business challenges and consider new ways of looking at data.
  • Strong business acumen with proven history of translating findings into actionable recommendations with business value attached to them.
  • Able to influence stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
