Your New Company: We are looking for a Children's Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join a strong, dedicated team based out of Haverfordwest, with travel across Pembrokeshire. You will be ensuring that young people receive personalised and sensitive care that meets their psychological, physical, and health needs.Your New Role: As a Children's Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will support young people who have been affected by domestic violence. Your work will include: Delivering 1:1 support sessions Running awareness-raising workshops and group programmes Helping young people develop a better understanding of domestic abuse to positively impact their present and future The role will involve regular visits to schools, and during school holidays you will run group sessions to continue providing support. You will also be part of an on-call rota: one weeknight in nine, plus one weekend (Friday night, Saturday, Sunday) in nine.What You'll Need to Succeed: Essential experience working with young people (education or residential settings, for example) The ability to stay calm, positive, and professional in challenging situations Some experience supporting victims of domestic violence/abuse would be beneficial.
