Personal Injury Claims Handler / Assistant Location:Swansea / Hybrid Type:Full-Time, Permanent TSR Legal are working in partnership with a respected forward-thinking, specialist insurance group to appoint an experienced PI Claims Handler to join their professional team based in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and legally astute individual to take the next step in their claims handling career within a supportive and expert-led environment. The Company: Our client is a well-established insurer that provides specialist advice and claims handling services across personal injury, motor, property, and liability sectors. With a strong reputation for excellence, they partner with insurers, brokers, and corporate clients to deliver commercially sound outcomes with legal precision. The Role: As a PI Claims Handler, youll manage a caseload of personal injury claims, overseeing the process from initial notification through to settlement or resolution. The role requires a balanced mix of legal knowledge, claims experience, and customer service, with a focus on achieving fair and efficient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Assessing and validating personal injury claims against relevant legal and policy criteria. Investigating liability and gathering necessary evidence to support resolution. Negotiating settlements and managing litigation processes where required. Maintaining accurate records, reserves, and documentation throughout the claims lifecycle. Ensuring all claims are handled in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. Liaising with solicitors, insurers, and third parties in a professional and efficient manner. Supporting the wider team with training, compliance, and performance targets. Candidate Profile: Essential Experience: Proven experience in handling PI claims within a legal or insurance setting. Strong working knowledge of the claims process, liability assessment, and relevant regulations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills. Competent in using claims and/or case management systems. Desirable Attributes: Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage deadlines and multiple cases simultaneously. Team player with a proactive and professional approach. Comfortable working in a structured, compliance-driven environment. Why Apply?
