What we expectWe are looking for an experienced and passionate Escalator Repair Engineer to join our Scotland & North division based in Manchester, who will be responsible for repairing our clients' escalators across their region.
As an Escalator Repair Engineer, your day to day will include:
- Repairing and maintaining customer escalators
- Repairing or replacing escalator parts
- Responding to mechanical failures and breakdowns
- Carrying out safety checks and risk assessments
- Planning and managing workload around assigned jobs
- Maintaining van stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain
- Recommending parts and equipment that need to be quoted or ordered to keep the escalators compliant
- Out of hours work on a pro rata basis.
- NVQ3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Hold a full UK Driving License and able to travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to use your initiative and work well with others
- Positive attitude and receptive to change
- Extremely organised
- Superior customer-care skills
- The ability to self-assess and take ownership of personal development
- An advocate for H&S regulations in the workplace
