Shorterm are looking for a Disassembly operative to be based in the Gloucester areaDuties to include but not limited to:*Disassembling complex mechanical parts*Assisting in the setup of tooling fixtures and contributing to new tooling design*Utilizing various hand, pneumatic, and small electrical tools*Performing wet and dry paint stripping, degreasing, and component cleaning*Following component maintenance manuals and engineering layouts to determine disassembly methods and sequences*Operating a forklift and adhering to COSHH regulations for safe chemical handling*Maintaining work areas to 5S standardsJob requirements:*Experience in dismantling mechanical parts*Excellent communication skills*High attention to detail and strong quality awareness*Proficiency in computer skills*Teamwork ethic and self-reliance*Good problem-solving skills and flexibility*Willingness to train and acquire new skills*Understanding of Lean Sigma disciplines and 5S principles*Involvement in continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency*Availability for shift rotations comprising Days, Lates, Nights, and occasional weekendsSalary is dependant on experience
