We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Family Senior Associate Lawyer to join our client's tier one ranked team in Guildford. Our client is seeking an individual with expertise in high value and complex matrimonial finance issues and private child law matters.

As a Family Senior Associate Lawyer, the successful candidate will provide clients with legal advice in a succinct, practical, and persuasive manner. They will take a hands-on approach to managing their own files and a broad case load. They will be responsible for drafting more complex documents with minimum instruction and supervision, utilising appropriate precedents.

Our client values a commercial approach to research and expects the candidate to evaluate relevance and accuracy in the delivery of advice. Additionally, the candidate may delegate, co-ordinate, and supervise the work of more junior members of their team. They will support Partners in client marketing and business development activities to develop the team's client base, their individual contacts, and the team's network of referrers. The successful candidate must also contribute to group knowledge and know-how initiatives.

Compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles, is crucial.

To be considered for this role, candidates must be qualified lawyers in England and Wales (or equivalent) with ideally a minimum of 6 years' PQE. However, our client is open to considering candidates with less or more experience. It is essential to display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, along with a commitment to providing clients with a first-class service that aligns with the team's reputation. The successful candidate should have a strong focus on exceeding client expectations, proven evidence of anticipating client needs, and resolving problems.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are required to effectively engage with a diverse range of clients and professionals. The candidate should possess the ability to build and maintain collaborative, communicative relationships with clients and within their own team. Additionally, being flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks, along with being a proactive team player who is highly self-motivated and able to work independently, will contribute to success in this role. Excellent all-round IT skills, including MS Office (Excel and Word), are essential.
