About the Role:You will work collaboratively within the Triton Product Team to design and develop solutions for NPD and Continuous Improvement.Key Responsibilities/functionsDesign and develop sustainable products, parts and solutions that meet the needs of Triton, our customers and the environment.Carry out validation testing and development of productsStay up to date with the latest trends and developments and incorporate them into our product design and development processes.Ensure products are designed and developed to meet regulatory standards and performance levels specified for safety, function and reliabilityProduce full manufacturing specifications, including drawings and engineering BOM’sEnsure design solutions are within the financial and functional parametersPerform any other duties appropriate to the role Must have:Degree in mechanical engineering, BTEC Higher National Certificate in Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) or completed an engineering apprenticeshipDemonstratable knowledge of problem solving and the creation of sustainable design solutions.Experience in designing with plastic materials Competent in using 3D CAD system (ideally SolidWorks)Competent in Microsoft packagesCompetent in producing technical reports Desirable:Worked in a product design capacityExperience/Knowledge of machined brass components/tolerancingExperience/Knowledge of electrical consumer product sectorTriton offers the opportunity to work with fantastic individuals, good working conditions, a competitive salary, 25 days’ holiday, contributory pension scheme, free car parking and on-site subsidised restaurant.
