Care Taker

We are looking for a skilled and reliable caretaker to join our team at a well-respected Primary School in Blyth.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school is a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.Key Responsibilities: * Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of school buildings, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor areas * Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work * Managing the security of the school premises, including locking and unlocking doors, monitoring CCTV, and responding to alarms * Setting up and clearing away equipment and furniture for events and activities * Providing support for school events, including evening and weekend work as requiredKey Skills: * Previous experience in a similar caretaking or facilities role * Strong practical skills, with experience in maintenance and repair work * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team * A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines * A commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all members of the school communityThis is a full-time position, with 37.5 hours per week.
