The college provides a pathway to prepare our students for adulthood, equipping them with the skills and qualities to lead a fulfilled, independent and ambitious life.The RoleWe are looking for a Grounds Person with the vision to support us in maximizing our existing grounds and gardens to allow for the best use. You will be responsible for their upkeep and maintenance, ensuring that they are both attractive and safe at all times. By carrying out this role well you will be allowing us to create a safe and pleasant working environment for our young people and employees.ResponsibilitiesPlanting and maintaining trees, grass, shrubs, plants and flowers.Cleaning and maintaining the appearance of outdoor furniture and features.Ensuring the grounds are clean and all walkways are clear of rubbish/debrisOperating and maintaining garden tools, including power tools such as mowers, pressure washers and leaf blowers etc.Weatherproof outdoor areas where necessaryApply mulch, pesticides and any other necessary treatments to maintain green areas.Emptying bins on a daily basis.Desirable knowledge and skillsAbility to manage own work...
