Are you a Reporting specialist with advanced knowledge of SSRS and SQL?


We have an immediate need for a Reporting Analyst to join our team on a 12 month FTC. Reporting and timely data play a critical role in our customers' business operations. As a Reporting Analyst, you will focus on creating, updating, and refining SQL reports tailored to our customer environments.


Your role is not only technical but integral in understanding how customers utilise scheduling software. Your expertise in SQL scripting and software report writing will empower our organisation and clients to make data-driven decisions. You'll be instrumental in crafting informative, visually engaging reports using SSRS and SQL.


Your proficiency in software report writing, SQL scripting, and understanding customer software utilisation will be key.


Being a self-directed reporting analyst is essential, persevering and growing as a technical reporting expert, consistently delivering real value. Your responsibilities encompass creating, refining, and iterating customer-facing reports crucial for key operational decisions. Reporting and timely data are fundamental to our customers' business strategies, making your role indispensable.

More about the role:

The Reporting Analyst is part of the Support function, working within our Customer Success Team.


Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Report Creation and Design: Build and create a variety of reports in SSRS, tailored to customer specifications, ensuring the delivery of meaningful insights.
  • Data Analysis and Querying: Execute SQL scripts for data analysis, leveraging SQL and SSRS to design and query customer-facing reports, showcasing a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Create comprehensive documentation and processes, capturing knowledge and lessons learned. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing learnings to prevent recurrence and elevate the customer experience.
  • Collaboration and Team Focus: Collaborate closely with the wider team to drive continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting and data, leveraging collective expertise for optimal outcomes.
  • Problem Solving and Communication: Tackle data query challenges with tenacity and precision, while confidently communicating with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Customer Value and Relationship Building: Design reports with a customer-centric approach, ensuring they add real value to our customers and strengthen relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Stay updated with the latest advancements in reporting tools and techniques, adapting swiftly to changes to maintain efficiency and effectiveness


Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:


Essential:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SSRS and SQL for report creation. With demonstrable professional experience in report creation, preferably in a SaaS software development or related environment
  • Data Visualisation: Strong understanding of data visualisation principles to create meaningful and visually appealing reports. Demonstrated success in creating and delivering impactful reports that have added value to customers and contributed to business objectives.
  • Documentation and Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes, creating comprehensive reports, and effectively conveying insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in creating comprehensive documentation, implementing process improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within a team or organisation
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills to tackle data query challenges and adapt quickly to changing reporting tools and techniques.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Ability to understand customer requirements and design reports that add significant value to our customers and strengthen relationships. Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and a strong focus on meeting customer needs and expectations through reporting and data analysis.


Advantageous:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft report builder for report design.
  • Evidence of continuous improvement activities, setting and documenting of best practise standards.


Location:

The role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire on a hybrid working schedule.
