Strategic People Partner

As the People Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders and the wider People and Culture Team to develop, shape, and deliver the People and Culture strategy with appropriate strategic solutions which enable the business to achieve its goals and live its values. You will act as a trusted partner, developing deep business insight to effectively advise and coach leaders. This role plays a pivotal role in making Bidvest Noonan a great place to work, with a strong focus on employee engagement, talent, learning & development, EDI, culture and our values. You will be responsible for bringing evidence-based practice into the Business and addressing the people challenges the Business faces. Keeping up to date with external trends, best practice and thought leadership. Key accountabilities Work with leadership teams to understand business goals, objectives, challenges, and develop People Strategies to support them. Key areas being the attraction of talent, talent development and retention, colleague engagement and business performance.Partner with the leadership teams advising, coaching, challenging, and supporting them on all strategic people related matters.Analyse People Metrics and use them to provide management information and insight which influences, and shapes people related interventions and instigates action to address performance and solutions for growth in a timely manner.Ensure that the products and services created and delivered by the People and Culture Team meet business requirements, are customer centric and put people first whilst advocating for the adoption and compliance with People Policies and Processes and being a “champion” for the People & Culture team.Create strategic People Plans and deliver projects to ensure successful roll out new HR products to the organisation, ensuring that there is implementation, communication, training, and change plans in place, and, through updating and coaching leaders. 2As a member of the wider People and Culture Team, contribute to the continued improvement of the health of the organisation by monitoring and analysing performance indicators, (such as sickness absence, attrition, levels of grievances and disciplinaries. and work/life balance) and developing initiatives and solutions to enable positive trends.Support the annual cycle of people activity, including Salary Review, Talent and Succession, Performance Management and Employee Engagement activities.Take an active role in ensuring the HR Operating Model is embedded across the business.Collaborate with the wider People Team to enhance the People offer based on business needs.Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across HR processes and procedures and escalate where appropriateContribute to and influence the development of People Policies ensuring they are legally compliant, aligned to our Credo and Values and meet the requirements of the business.Lead on the creation, implementation and ongoing management of an Employee Forum, connecting back into leadership to ensure the voices of the organisation are heard and feedback is answered or acted upon appropriately.Support and coach leaders through organisational change and evolution, including organisation design and implementation.Work with the Organisational Development Team to develop management and leadership development programmes, training, skills and education interventions and products, ensuring that they create the necessary capabilities to deliver our business goals.Collaborate with Internal Communication and Engagement and apply business and leadership insight to support the development and delivery of employee engagement initiatives.Champion Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Support the EDI Strategy and Plan and be an active ally for the employee representative groups.Provide oversight, governance, and expert advice in support of transformational change, restructures, TUPE, and redundancy; ensuring a commercially focussed approach to improve cost and efficiency.If applicable develop, manage, and maintain healthy industrial relations with Trade Unions.Take the lead on selected strategic HR projects.Support the Employee Relations Centre of Excellence and by exception and as necessary take the lead on complex employee relations cases and Employment Tribunals.Any other duties commensurate with the capability of the post holder and as required by the nature of the role. Knowledge, experience, and skillsHave successfully delivered results and made a difference as a Strategic Business Partner in a business comparable to Bidvest Noonan i.e., a fast paced customer facing/operational business with a large, disaggregated workforce 3Be a true HR generalist, with practitioner experience of Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Reward, Learning and Development, Employment Law (including TUPE) and Employee Relations, Policy and HR Shared Services, and where applicable industrial relations.Be financially astute and commercially and digitally literate with intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office.Able to review and analyse management information and data and provide valuable insight.Have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.Have a creative, forward thinking, human centric approach to HR.Think of line managers and colleagues as customers and be passionate about creating a fantastic employee experience.Be an effective project manager and able to demonstrate a successful record in delivering enterprise wide projects.Curious and engaged with continued professional development, thought leadership and best practice.Have effective and accurate written and verbal communication skills.Have/or working towards Level 7 CIPD - MCIPD or able to demonstrate equivalent skills, knowledge, and behavioursBidvest Noonan is a team of 27,000 passionate and customer-focused people.
