What You'll Do:Event Accountant will be the key finance contact on the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, and also do some work on the Madrid Open and other events.The candidate must have a proactive and adaptive approach to work as well as a willingness and interest in understanding the nature of the business and the many factors affecting it.Key Responsibilities And AccountabilitiesAssume position as key finance contact on the following events: Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, and Mubadala Abu Dhabi OpenThe role will support the VP, Finance Director:Business Partner with the Event Directors and Ops team to support on event financesWork with the VP and / or senior director of each of these events to ensure they have clear and concise information for decision making Be the onsite representing financeEnsure all revenue planning and ops budgets are up to date and reconcilable - working with the business teams to do so, allowing for accurate pre and post-show flashes and timely close out of event financesEnsure applicable taxes are accounted for appropriately by checking treatment with internal tax teamOwn the bottom-up detailed business planning and cash flow planningOwn scenario analysisRisks and Opps are flagged as necessaryWhere applicable, insurance claims are calculated, supported, and submitted in a suitable timeframeEnsure the VP, Finance Director is fully informed of all necessary itemsWork with VP, Finance Director to:Ensure the month end P&L and BS reflects the reality of the current viewProvide commentary to any variance to planEnsure weekly cash flow requests are accurate and completeWeekly and ad hoc sales reports are accurate and completeQuarterly commission statements issued to the Sales Team are accurate and completeUnusual Challenges or Circumstances e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etcWill be required to work occasionally outside of standard working hours or at weekends at eventsYou Have These:Qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent Strong IT skills (especially Microsoft Office)Strong accounting knowledge Excellent communication skillsProcess orientated and able to manage and reconcile large data sets FlexibilityExcellent planning & organisational skills to achieve multiple & sometimes conflicting deadlines Attention to DetailAbility to work under pressureStrong focus on seeking efficiencies with attention to detailAbility to work proactively and individually but also as a team playerWe'd Also Love If You Have These:Event experienceSAP accounting softwareWorking Conditions:London, Chiswick Park,Perm, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
