Job Title: Permanent DraughtspersonLocation: CramlingtonJob Description:Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Draughtsperson to join our team in Cramlington on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans, utilizing SolidWorks, and contributing to mechanical engineering projects.Key Responsibilities:- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and plans using SolidWorks.- Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.- Conduct reverse engineering to create accurate drawings from existing parts and assemblies.- Review and modify existing drawings as required.- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company policies.- Prepare documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and production purposes.- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems.- Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering and production teams.- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.- Maintain accurate records of all drawings and project documentation.Qualifications and Skills:- Proven experience as a Draughtsperson in the mechanical engineering field.- Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software.- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.- Experience with reverse engineering techniques and tools.- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.Benefits:- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.- Collaborative and supportive work environment.- Involvement in innovative and challenging engineering projects.We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified individuals.
