Reinsurance Accountant This role will be part of a dynamic, busy and adaptive commercial financial control team that puts a lot of emphasis on supporting each other and helping each other grow along with supporting the wider finance team and company. The Reinsurance Accountant is responsible for ensuring that new subsidiary reinsurance accounting and reporting is completed to a high quality and in a timely manner. The role also has an emphasis on: Providing administration of and accounting support for reinsurance contractsTo liaise with brokers/reinsurers on premium payments and claims recoveries and ensure processes are in place to track paymentsCommunicate with underwriters, claims and actuarial regarding potential and actual recoveries and ensure these are booked on FSRI and communicated to reinsurersBe the go to person for reinsurance queries Key accountabilities: Review any new and existing reinsurance arrangementsEnsure all reinsurance premium payments are made in line with contractual termsEnsure any relevant recoveries are collected including submission of collection notes to brokers/reinsurersAdminister reinsurance contracts; set-up and renew where applicable all reinsurance contracts on FSRI, ensuring data quality is maintainedEnsure all bordereaux are issued and settled within the contrac...
