The Opportunity As Project Director, you will take strategic leadership responsibility acrosstendering, pre-construction and full deliveryon large-scale MEP projects typically valued between£50m-£100m+ . You will act as thedeputy head for the project , working alongside the construction leadership team while driving the technical, commercial, programme and behavioural outcomes of the MEP function. This role suits a Project Director - or an experienced Senior Project Lead ready for the next step - who thrives in anon-adversarial, integrated JV-style environmentwhere collaboration is the core operating principle. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership across all MEP aspects of major projects from tender stage through to handover. Operate at senior management level: shaping bid strategies, influencing methodology, and supporting early-stage design & planning. Act as the deputy project lead, guiding multidisciplinary teams and connecting all build and services functions. Manage project governance, reporting, commercial oversight and technical direction. Drive high standards of safety, quality and technical excellence. Lead and mentor multiple teams with a people-first approach. Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, JV partners and internal stakeholders. Uphold and promote a collaborative, 'one team' delivery culture. Candidate Profile EstablishedProject Directoror Senior Project Lead ready to step up. Strong MEP background (either mechanical or electrical with solid understanding of both). Experience leading major commercial and/or defence-sector schemes. Able to run large teams and act as overall deputy lead on major projects. Strong working knowledge of tender, bid and pre-construction stages. Collaborative, stable, people-focused leadership style. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
