Our client is an international group of companies with engineering, manufacturing and service facilities located in Germany, USA, China, Italy and India.

They develop and manufacture computer-controlled test and formation equipment for all kinds of batteries, ranging from batteries for mobile phones, automotive batteries to huge submarine batteries too. It doesn't stop there, this company also manufactures these batteries for multiple other application areas too including electrical energy storage devices like fuel cells, supercaps and hybrid systems.

The role:

Our client is looking for a Field Service and Sales Engineer, whereby you would be responsible for the trouble shooting, consulting as well as hands on maintenance and repair of their battery testing and formation systems for their current UK customers.

The requirements:

  • Have extensive knowledge of their product and technology in order to be able to service it effectively.
  • Look after their current customer network, quickly respond to customer enquiries and consult them.
  • Be able and be prepared to potentially upsell their product(s).
  • Be prepared to also support the commercial team with technical expertise for their customers.

The Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in a technical field, preferably electrical engineering.
  • Prepared to travel to customers that are UK based.
  • Must have hands on experience in power electronics.
  • Must have some experience or knowledge of the battery market, more specifically battery testing and lithium chemistries.
  • Experience in electrical engineering is a bonus.
  • Must be based in Wales/The Midlands
