Tax Assistant

Are you looking to start a career in tax and trusts within a supportive and forward-thinking law firm Our Wills Estates & Tax Planning team in York arelooking to welcome a Tax Assistant to help support the continued growth of the department.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in finance tax or legal administration who is looking to develop their skills in a professional environment. No formal qualifications are required and we will fully support the successful candidate to undertake AAT accounting training as part of their development.What youll be doing:Youll work closely with experienced colleagues to support a wide range of tax and trust-related tasks. As you grow in the role your responsibilities may include: Assisting with trust and estate tax returns and trust accounts Supporting the registration of trusts under HMRCs Trust Registration Service (TRS) Helping prepare Capital Gains Tax reports and property-related submissions Assisting with trust administration and preparing Inheritance Tax and other related documentationWhat were looking for:Were keen to hear from individuals who: Have strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn Are confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team Are committed to delivering excellent service to colleagues and clientsPrevious experience in an office finance or legal environment is helpful but not essential.
