Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 2026Work set up: Hybrid SC Clearance RequiredOur client in the global professional services industry is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support the New WMU project for the UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) a government department responsible for welfare and pension policy in the United Kingdom. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the team while contributing to high-impact cloud security and DevOps initiatives.What you will do:Define the cloud security framework and architecture to ensure alignment with business requirements and performance goals.Document the implementation of cloud security controls and support the transition to cloud security-managed operations.Serve as a subject matter expert collaborating with and guiding the team to ensure effective delivery.Lead team decision-making processes and engage with multiple teams to contribute to key technical and strategic outcomes.Provide solutions to complex problems within the immediate team and across multiple teams.Develop innovative security solutions that align with the overall cloud strategy.Conduct regular assessments of cloud security controls to ensure compliance and effectiveness.Lead training sessions to enhance team knowledge of cloud security best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.Stay updated on cloud security trends and technologies to continuously improve the security framework.Qualifications : Expert proficiency in DevOps.Advanced proficiency in Git (recommended).Advanced proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure Security Cloud Security Architecture GitLab CI/CD and Managed Cloud Security Services (suggested).Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams and lead decision-making processes.Strong documentation and communication skills.Experience delivering cloud security solutions in complex environments.Additional Information : Candidates must be legally authorized to live and work in the country the position is based in without requiring sponsorship.We appreciate your interest in this opportunity.
