We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher of Religious Education to join our vibrant academy located in the Medway area. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the curriculum and cater to a diverse range of learning needs.
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and respectful discussions on various religious and ethical topics.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching materials and participate in departmental meetings to enhance the curriculum.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the vibrant community life of the academy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Religious Education.
  • Proven experience in teaching Religious Education at the secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Commitment to professional development and a proactive approach to learning new teaching strategies.
