Specialist Underwriter  Permanent, full-time position Monday to Friday schedule Hybrid working – 3 days from home, 2 in the office Flexible working options available A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Specialist Underwriter to assess medical risk and determine discount rates for Discounted Gift Plans (DGPs). This permanent role offers a hybrid working model (three days from home, two in the office) and a supportive culture that values flexibility and work–life balance. Key Responsibilities Conduct medical risk assessments to evaluate life expectancy and insurability. Make accurate, timely underwriting decisions within delegated authority. Collaborate with actuarial teams to calculate discount rates in line with regulations. Provide technical support to advisers, trustees, and internal stakeholders. Maintain compliance with regulatory and governance standards. Contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy. About You Experience in financial services; medical underwriting preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
