Role: Welder (NVQ Level 3)

Rates:

We pay the NAECI Blue Book rates and when required; lodge and radius payment. For NVQ level 3 Welder it will be Grade 5:

Standard Rate: £21.27

Overtime Rate 1: £29.78

Overtime Rate 2: £38.29

Hourly Bonus: £2.37

Lodge: £337.12

Hours/Shifts: 44hrs, 6 at OT1, Monday to Friday plus overtime opportunities and potentially nights.

Work Type: Contract PAYE

Job Specification:

• Perform mainly TIG welding operations, but occasionally STICK according to project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting and shaping components as necessary
• Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of parts prior to welding
• Inspect weld for accuracy, completeness and conformance to specifications
• Conduct visual and non-destructive testing to ensure the quality of welded joints
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Report any equipment malfunctions and perform basic repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Use Appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectively

Essentials:

Ideally we need a minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Welding.

Again, preferably we would like experience in either the nuclear, defence or oil & gas industry.

Experience in part pen/butt welds and welding to cast in plates would be ideal
