Consumer Additions are partnering with a tech business focusing on the consumer space, to help them recruit a Finance Director into their team based in Central London.


Roles and responsibilities:


  • Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets that align with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage the relationship with the external accountants who are responsible for the preparation of the annual accounts, the VAT returns and tax.
  • Capital Management: Oversee cashflow, capital expenditures, and financing arrangements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and regular financial forecasting. Provide insights into variances and develop corrective actions as necessary. The business currently has monthly reporting for the CEO and quarterly reporting for minority shareholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the finance manager, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Cost Management: Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement and oversee the implementation of cost control measures.


The ideal candidate:


  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with significant post qualification experience within industry, preferably an agency/tech environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and tax regulations.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills.
  • Significant experience of all aspects of finance – both commercial and technical.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as ERP platforms, financial modelling tools, and data analysis applications (experience of Xero, excel modelling and Hubspot would be advantageous)
  • A demonstrable passion for creativity, technology, and innovation.
