Job DescriptionA well-established engineering manufacturer in Kirkbymoorside is looking for an Electronics Test & Repair Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role within a well-equipped facility working on specialist equipment in a fast-paced high-tech environment.Im looking for someone with strong PCB testing and fault-finding skills who enjoys problem solving and takes pride in producing high-quality work.Key ResponsibilitiesTest and diagnose PCBs using oscilloscopes multimeters ATE and other diagnostic toolsFault-find to component level on multi-layer boardsRework and repair SMDs connectors and through-hole componentsCarry out soldering and desoldering using hot-air stations microscopes and reflow ovensDevelop and follow test plans computer-controlled test procedures and scriptsRecord test results repairs and modifications accuratelyWork closely with design and production teams to support quality and improvementsWhat Were Looking ForHands-on PCB test and repair experience (2 years preferred)Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualification (HNC HND BTEC City & Guilds) or equivalent experienceConfident reading schematics circuit diagrams and BOMsSkilled in soldering/rework of SMD and through-hole componentsExperience with multi-layer or rigid-flex PCBs and testing software/toolsKnowledge of analogue/digital electronics microcontrollers and power electronicsStrong problem-solving attention to detail and team-working skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary37 hours per week (MonThurs 8.30am4.30pm Fri 8.30am4.00pm)Flexi-time availableOvertime: time and a half (MonSat) double time (Sun)25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays5% company pensionPrivate healthcareLife insurance (2x salary)This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electronics Test & Repair Technician to join a respected company offering stability career growth and a great benefits package.Apply today with your CV or get in touch to find out more.Required Experience:IC Key Skills Customer Service,Mobile Devices,Locksmith,Apache,Mechanical Knowledge,Auto Body Repair,Roofing,Schematics,Soldering,Appliance Repair,Equipment Repair,Power Tools Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
