The role:


Reporting to the Head of Tax, this role is responsible for ensuring that tax support is provided to the business in a timely manner. The role is also responsible for providing advisory support along with compliance and reporting management and review for the Group across multiple jurisdictions.


The Senior Tax Manager will provide direction and guidance to three Tax Managers. They manage and maintain relationships with third party advisers, as well as working closely with internal finance teams (including the Treasury team) to ensure accurate delivery of information and data for tax department use.


The Senior Tax Manager will work closely with the Finance business leaders and commercial partners to understand current and future business plans and to provide specialist and commercially focussed tax advice.


In addition the Senior Tax Manager will ensure appropriate management of tax compliance including tax audits, UK and overseas, whilst also supporting the Head of Tax on advisory projects.

Who are we looking for:


  • Understanding of financial implications of tax transactions on the Group’s financial performance and reporting
  • Strong experience of international tax issues in a wide range of jurisdictions
  • Needs to be a good communicator, strong team ethic and able to deal with a variety of people at different levels, with differing levels of financial awareness
  • Willing to challenge in a robust and professional manner
  • Plan and organise own workload while being deadline conscious and have the ability to work well in time sensitive situations
