About the roleAre you passionate about understanding markets spotting trends and shaping innovative solutions Join us as a Category Manager and play a key role in driving growth across the UK & Ireland by transforming insights into actionable strategies that deliver tangible results.This is a high-impact role where you will partner closely with sales teams lead category initiatives and influence the innovation agenda for some of the most exciting market segments.In this dynamic role you will:Deep dive into strategic market segments (e.g. Confectionery Drinks Automotive) analyzing internal data and external sources like Euromonitor Mintel and IGD to uncover shopper and retail trendsReview and refine our product portfolio identifying gaps and innovation opportunities to keep us ahead of the curveWork together with sales teams to position DS Smith as a packaging strategist for our customers driving top and bottom-line growth through insight-led solutionsAnchor the innovation agenda in customer and segment insights ensuring our portfolio evolves with changing market dynamicsDevelop action plans that impact sales margin and pricing performance and support pitches with compelling insights and strategiesDefine and deploy communication strategies in collaboration with the Head of Communication and local teamsAct as the ongoing point of contact for sales teams providing category expertise and insight to strengthen customer relationshipsWe are seeking a commercially savvy insight-driven professional with a passion for category management and innovation. You will have a strong ability to analyze market trends translate insights into actionable strategies and collaborate effectively with sales and marketing teams.
