My main contractor client is after a motivated and keen Planner to join their team on a new project in Maidstone. Committed to innovation and excellence, they have been appointed as the main contractor to deliver residential development and are therefore growing their planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with foundational experience in project planning and a desire to advance their career in the construction industry.

Job Description:

As a Planner, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of their project under the contract. You will work closely with the Lead Planner to ensure that all aspects of the project are meticulously planned and executed efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Planner in developing, maintaining, and updating the construction schedule using Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather all necessary information to support effective project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and report discrepancies between the schedule and actual work performed.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates to ensure that project timelines and milestones are met.
  • Analyse potential project bottlenecks or delays and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure compliance, focusing on the timescales and scheduling requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project planning, preferably within the construction industry. Experience with data centre projects is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
