Junior Training Multimedia Designer

This role holder supports the Group Smiths Excellence Training Team. This role involves the design and development of digital media assets and contents for our online training solutions wellbeing initiatives and communications provided to internal customers. The role holder will be proficient in their technical skills designing and developing digital media assets including eLearning video graphics 3D modelling animation and gamification of learning.The role holder will directly support and advise the Senior Manager for Training & Documentation. This role will be key in delivering on the Learning & Development requirements of our worldwide target audiences and across a variety of different market sectors ensuring content is aligned with the Smiths Groups global standards and policies. Designing User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) for learning platforms classroom delivery and different digital learning contents the holder of this role will be involved in shaping the look and feel of Smiths Excellences communications and learning solutions. The role holder will also support in the innovative design of Smiths Excellence classroom training packages and wellbeing training initiatives designing graphics and multimedia to support this content where required.Creation of innovative immersive multi-media solutions for digital training.Design and delivery of eLearning material to support the global organisation.Design of multi-media contents from concept to delivery based on common design principles and procedures.Creation of UI (User Interface) design: This refers to the look and layout - buttons menus colours fonts etc. inline with Smiths branding guidelines for the learning platform or content.Creation of UX (User Experience) design: This focuses on the overall experience ensuring that training is intuitive accessible and satisfying to use. Ensuring human focussed navigation ease of use and ensuring the design supports learning goals.Ability to work with projects that include film creation and editing.Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and After Effects.Ability to use at a basic level or willingness to learn a combination of 2D/3D packages such as Blender.Ability to use common eLearning development tools such as Articulate.Ensure multiple projects are delivered on time and delivering an engaging learners journey.Collaborate with global stakeholders and subject matter experts internally.Provision of advice on opportunities and risks related to multi-media development.Support the continuous improvement of digital training policy and adhere to existing digital training development guidelinesEstablish and maintain relationships with Marketing Creative Media Divisional HR Product Specialists to support the needs of the business.Support the establishment of digital training performance and quality metrics.Creation of media content to inform wellbeing initiative and communications.Creates media assets including video pieces voice overs scripts delivered to camera animation event graphics and all other assets.Skilled in the world of animation creating animated assets for eLearning and ensuring all content is engaging.Can build interactive engaging eLearning in Storyline Articulate.Can create poster assets branded items and all other media assets using practiced graphic design skills. Works with SMEs to create HSE Excellence and Learning assets such as this.Create engaging effective learning experiences.Maintenance of training material and media assets ensuring it is constantly updated in line with training feedback and improved using emerging technology.Develop storyboards lesson plans and digital assessments aligned with learning objectives.Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) trainers and project managers to gather requirements and validate content across Smiths Group.Ensure accessibility and positive learner experience delivered within all training modules.Qualifications : Education:Degree in a related subject is preferable or evidence of experience gained from some years as a professional Multimedia or UI/UX Designer.Knowledge/Skills: Skilled in the design of graphics multimedia and eLearning content across a range of subjects.Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are required.Being able to respond in a timely manner to global staff from different time zones.Effectively present information and project progress to internal stakeholders.Individual must be highly skilled and proficient in MS Office applications.Ability to handle stressful situations and adapt to changing priorities.Ability to work in an international team communicating across different cultures and time-zones.Experience of working with projects that include video creation and editing graphic design and/or animation.Extensive experience working with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and After Effects.Skills and experience using Unity desirable.Ability to use a combination of 2D/3D packages such as Blender desirable.Ability to use common eLearning development tools such as Articulate would be desirable.Ability to design and deliver engaging storyboards to target the creation of multimedia assets and eLearning.Additional Information : Diversity & Inclusion:We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
