Hours of Work:Full-time, Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm Salary:£38,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) Why Work With This Client? Permanent, full-time positionWork within a highly skilled Production & Quality teamCareer development and training opportunitiesSupportive and professional working environmentDay-to-Day Duties Perform inspections on fabricated, welded, machined, and finished components using both manual and CMM inspection methodsCompileFAIR (First Article Inspection Reports)for goods prior to despatch in accordance with company QMS proceduresRaiseNon-ConformanceandCorrective Actionreports when requiredMaintain calibration controls and recall schedules for inspection tools and equipmentReport defects and quality issues to the Production/Quality Manager prior to despatchComplete and verify Certificates of Conformance documentationAttend customer sites when required to support technical discussions and quality reviewsAssist with occasional rework, assembly, or fabrication support tasks when neededEssential Skills Minimum HNC qualification in an Engineering disciplineStrong ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawingsSkilled in manual inspection techniques (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges)Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, and material production processesProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with overhead crane operation and slingingFull, clean UK driving licenceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and take initiativeDesirable Skills Previous experience in engineering inspection rolesExperience usingFaro Armor other portable CMM devicesBasic CMM programming knowledge is advantageousTraining and Development On-the-job training on company-specific inspection and quality systemsOngoing support from the Production & Quality Management teamApply Now If you're an experienced and motivated Quality Engineer looking to join a respected manufacturing business with excellent career prospects, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
