New Product Introduction (NPI) Executive BuyerAbout the roleAs an NPI Executive Buyer at Mirus Aircraft Seating, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of new and ongoing programmes within the organisation, ensuring that our supply chain is ready to support innovation from prototype through to full production. Partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production, you will source and develop suppliers, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage the procurement of materials and components critical to programme success. Acting as the central point of coordination, this role ensures programme milestones, timelines, and deliverables are effectively tracked and communicated across departments. You will assist in coordinating purchasing activities across multiple programmes managing costs and sourcing risk to ensure programmes are delivered on-time, to budget and with a sustainable high quality supplier base. Responsible for managing material procurement information (MPI) with precision and efficiency, and ultimately ensuring supplier performance aligns with programme requirements.In the role of New Product Introduction Executive Buyer, you will:Manage procurement for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring supplier readiness from pre-production to delivery in line with programme schedulesPlan and execute procurement activities, defining goals, work plans, and development milestonesEnsure manufacturability, cost targets, and quality standards are met; support “Design to Cost” initiatives with suppliers and EngineeringSource, develop, and manage suppliers capable of meeting aerospace quality, delivery, and cost requirementsNegotiate commercial terms, pricing, and supply agreements to secure value while protecting business interestsAct as liaison across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless communication and executionMaintain accurate ERP data (BOMs, lead times, costings) and create programme tracking tools, KPIs, and gateway review presentationsIdentify, monitor, and report procurement and supply chain risks and opportunities, supporting both short-term builds and long-term strategiesDrive continuous improvement in procurement processesAbout youTo support Mirus on our continued journey of growth, we’re looking for someone who brings proven experience in a programmes/purchasing buyer role, a proactive approach to solving challenges, exceptional customer service delivery and excellent attention to detail.
