Ingredient Procurement Manager | Hertfordshire | Global Consumer Brand

£60,000 to £70,000 + Bonus + additional benefits


Overview:

Talent Drive are pleased to be partnering with a leading Consumer Brand who are famous for a number of iconic brands within their portfolio. As the business are going through a transformation of their procurement function following a new Procurement leader joining the organisation. As part of that transformation, we are looking to attract a new Procurement Manager to manage the end to end procurement of ingredients.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to step into a business who are growing and up skilling the team to become a ‘best in class’ procurement function.


What the role involves:

  • Category management and strategic sourcing of materials
  • Delivering best value for the category
  • Working with NPD team to deliver best in class innovation
  • Value engineering projects and execution of benefits
  • Working with bakeries to ensure they are well supported
  • Ensuring we have appropriate material cover in place and cover is placed at best time to ensure lowest cost
  • Strong supplier management skills
  • Accurate reporting of buying variance
  • Working closely with suppliers to ensure deliveries are made on time and in full


The person we hope to find:

  • Ingredient Procurement experience, ideally having operated within Food Manufacturing
  • Experience of working closely with NPD teams
  • Confidence in dealing with challenging situations
  • Proven Negotiation skills
  • Analytical and numerate – attention to detail
  • Team player, proactive and results focused
  • CIPS Qualification an advantage

Please note this role offers a hybrid working model so an expectation of two days in the office on a weekly basis in Hertfordshire.
