Business Development Manager - Digital - DV Cleared - £80K + OTE


The Developer Link have partnered with a consultancy working with National Security / Public Sector Clients. They are seeking a talented Business Development Manager to join the team in a hybrid role, with 1 day per week at the clients London office and 1 day per week onsite with our client customer in Cheltenham. This role focuses on National Security projects, including work with GCHQ, MI5, and other related projects.


The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in expanding relationships within the sector, taking the strategy to the next level, and accelerating the end clients growth.


Please note: Candidates for this role must hold a valid DV Security Clearance.


Responsibilities:

New Business Development (70%): • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government national security sector • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, actively engaging with prospects through various channels, including networking events, cold outreach, and industry conferences • Identify and establish partnerships that will accelerate our footprint within the sector and enable a broader offering • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create compelling sales collateral and targeted campaigns

Client Management and Growth (30%): • Cultivate and nurture relationships with our existing national security clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling • Work collaboratively with our National Security Club to understand clients' evolving needs and provide insights for proposition development • Conduct regular account reviews and collaborate with clients to identify areas for optimization and improvement • Implement strategies to retain and grow existing accounts, demonstrating the ongoing value of solutions


Requirements: • The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of how the public sector operates both commercially and at the project and program level. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills are essential, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience. • The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, resulting in customer loyalty and repeat business. • We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, able to work independently, and has a results-oriented mindset. • Additionally, an understanding of government and industry digital standards and approaches is highly desirable.
