Candidate Responsibilities – Driver/Loader (HGV) Drive HGV vehicles: Safely operate heavy goods vehicles for refuse and recycling collections. Operate collection equipment: Use both automatic and manual equipment to empty bins and load waste onto the vehicle. Collect waste: Empty and move wheeled bins, sacks, and bulky items from properties in all weather conditions. Sort and load recyclables: Collect, sort, and load materials like glass, paper, cans, and textiles.
