Our Family Hubs are vibrant, welcoming spaces offering support from conception to age 19 or up to 25 for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).At the heart of this is the Best Start in Life offer, which supports children and parents through every developmental stage. As a Family Hub Connector,you will be the bridge between families and the services that can help them thrive.You will work alongside a wide network of professionals and partners to reduce inequalities, improve access and ensure families feel connected, supported and empowered. About the role This unique role will provide you with the opportunity to be a trusted presence in a child’s life journey. You will help parents feel confident and informed and support children get the best possible start. You will be out in the community in homes, hubs and local spaces, building relationships and delivering meaningful support that helps shape a community where every family feels seen, heard and valued.You will lead and deliver targeted outreach and facilitate high-quality Early Years learning activities and groups. Your work will be guided using frameworks such as the Early Years Foundation Stage and Development Matters. You will be the champion of the Best Start for Life vision, supporting families through the 1001 critical days, connecting families to universal and targeted services. Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare & Education or primary education, health and social care Level 4 award in work with parents (would be ideal). Extensive experience of working with children and families in the community. Experience of visiting and delivering interventions in the family home. Sound knowledge of child development to support a good level of development. Sound knowledge of safeguarding and commitment to undertaking risk assessments of the work environment to ensure safety to self and others.
