The RoleThe purpose of this role is to process and control accounting transactions and provide technical support to IBA and business colleagues relating to more complex accounting activities associated with our clients insurance policies.This is a 6 month fixed term contract based in Retford working hybrid once trained and offering a standard 35-hour week.Key ResponsibilitiesTake full responsibility for investigating and resolving more complex queries in a timely and accurate mannerComply with the development of Group and departmental policies & proceduresParticipate in ad hoc tasks and projects as requiredAdhere to the expected behaviour standards for the roleCommunicate effectively with all key stakeholdersAbout YouWere looking for someone who brings:Previous experience in finance administration or reconciliationPrevious experience of working in a financial services environmentExtensive knowledge of the insurance industry and insurer accountingWorking knowledge of IBA accounting systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyProficient in using MS Office including Excel & WordStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and prioritise tasksAbility to manage conflicting responsibilities to achieve targetsAbility to explain complex issues clearlyWhy Join UsWe offer more than just a job we provide a place to thrive.
