Role Description
JSM is a utilities service provider specialising in the delivery of integrated power and communications solutions. It is a private equity backed business that is rapidly growing.
As part of the Procurement team, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, this position is to provide high-quality support to Operations by the effective procurement of key services and materials.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Supervision of Buyer and Procurement Administrators including workload allocation.
- End to end responsibility for the procurement of goods and services to support operations for Projects and internal overheads.
- Effective negotiation, placement and progress of PO’s encompassing value, quality and specification compliance.
- Use of Procurement software to generate orders and manipulate data for reports.
- Category Management of designated product groupings.
- Order Expediting.
- Managing procurement of materials to main distribution depot.
- Attend project related meetings with stakeholders.
- Support Head of Procurement with high value material purchasing.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience working in Construction, Civils, Utilities or similar environment preffered
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other IT applications
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- A smart appearance and professional manner.
- Analytical thinking and Problem-solving skills.
- Able to work well under pressure
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to offer new ideas.
