Role Description

JSM is a utilities service provider specialising in the delivery of integrated power and communications solutions. It is a private equity backed business that is rapidly growing.


As part of the Procurement team, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, this position is to provide high-quality support to Operations by the effective procurement of key services and materials.


Principal Duties and Accountabilities:


  • Supervision of Buyer and Procurement Administrators including workload allocation.
  • End to end responsibility for the procurement of goods and services to support operations for Projects and internal overheads.
  • Effective negotiation, placement and progress of PO’s encompassing value, quality and specification compliance.
  • Use of Procurement software to generate orders and manipulate data for reports.
  • Category Management of designated product groupings.
  • Order Expediting.
  • Managing procurement of materials to main distribution depot.
  • Attend project related meetings with stakeholders.
  • Support Head of Procurement with high value material purchasing.


Skills and Experience Required:


  • Experience working in Construction, Civils, Utilities or similar environment preffered
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other IT applications
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • A smart appearance and professional manner.
  • Analytical thinking and Problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to offer new ideas.
