As an Mechanically Biased Engineer for a leading food manufacturer, you will be responsible for managing engineers, leading projects and providing PPM and OEE support company's Trafford Park manufacturing site.Our client is an established manufacturer of authentic global foods to hospitality and the retail, food service and wholesale sectors.This challenging role requires a time served/apprentice trained engineer with previous experience in a fast-paced environment. The site is AA BRC rated; therefore, candidates must have experience of working within a highly regulated/audited site.Your responsibilities as an Mechanically Biased Engineer will include: Perform routine planned maintenance and maintenance requests to minimise downtime and ensure optimalperformanceDiagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly to maintain production flow.Conduct breakdown repairs of plant and site service equipment utilising problem solving to drive 100-year fix mentalityIdentify opportunities for process optimisation and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reducewaste through effective use of the change management procedureSupport and coach relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenanceAdherence to Good Manufacturing PracticeYour Profile:Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Mechanical or Multi skilled) - ONC or BTEC equivalent, HNC (desirable) with demonstrable electrical and mechanical maintenance skillsStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in food manufacturing.Problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issuesHigh attention to detail to ensure precision in maintenance and repairs to uphold quality standards.What's on offer: Attractive salary + 5% bonusContinental Shift Pattern, 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off.22 days holidayPension up to 10%, Life Assurance 4X, BUPA healthcareEV salary sacrifice scheme and free EV onsite chargingDiscounts on a range of products and services (up to £3k saving pa)Cycle to work schemeWhat Next?Apply below to share your CV or call our offices to discuss the first step in making that dream move.Tiro is a specialist Employment Agency & Employment Business assisting with both contract and permanent opportunities in high performance cars, motorsport, software, electronics, engineering & manufacturing.
