Job Summary:

The Head of Supply Chain, Darley Dale is responsible for leading the supply chain operations and ensuring strategic alignment with company goals. This is a senior role, sitting as part of the Site Leadership team, and plays a critical role shaping the supply chain strategy, optimising processes, and ensuring the seamless delivery of raw materials and finished products.


Key Objectives of the Role:

  1. Take overall responsibility for the Supply Chain and Logistics department, to ensure the team is performing at a high level
  2. Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives and industry demands. Analyse market trends and adapt strategies to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities
  3. Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships with raw material suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Manage supplier performance against agreed scorecard metrics, standards and producing standardised reports for the senior managers
  4. Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, logistics, inventory management, and compliance. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
  5. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
  6. Collaborate closely with the Production, Quality, Technical, Finance and Commercial departments to forecast demand and ensure product availability


The Ideal candidate:

  1. Sophisticated planning and control experience at a leadership level
  2. Previous leadership over management is crucial
  3. Strategic and Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments
  5. Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems
  6. A demonstrated career background within the Aerospace manufacturing sector


Remuneration & package:

  1. Competitive salary

  3. 25 Days Holiday + option to purchase up to 3 more days + Bank Holidays
  4. Hours Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday, 8.30am to 1.30pm
