Sous chef required at theThornhill in Calverley.
We are a family friendly pub in the heart of a Village community serving a mix of traditional & world foods in a warm and welcoming environment. We have a great reputation locally and have become a destination food establishment over recent years.
We have grown considerably over the years and as such, sohas our team. We are looking to expand the team further by recruiting a new chef at sous level to work under our head chef.Responsibilities to include serving food in a busy and face paced kitchen, reporting to thehead chef, food ordering, maintaining hygiene levels in the kitchen and keeping up to date with documentation and due diligence. Training new staff members and taking charge of junior staff in the absence of the head chef.
We believe in involving all members of the kitchen team when developing new menus and welcome innovation & creativity.
Plans are in place to create bistro dining experience on a weekend in our private function suite and we have recently purchased a street food catering van to further enhance our offering.
Approximately 45 hours per week across 5 days.
Salary dependent on the level of experience.
