Private Credit Asset Based Lending Director
A European Mid Markets investor is expanding within the Asset Based Finance sector, and seeking a Director to be responsible for the growth of investments within this sector. You will be joining a firm of 16 staff and €700 million AUM, and have funds to deploy immediately.
The role:
- Investing in Specialty Finance / Asset Based Finance related companies
- Oversight of an Associate / VP in transaction execution, lead on all deal structuring, and be responsible for origination and initial views on structuring.
- Assessing various Asset Based Lending capital structures.
- Building on (and developing) existing relationships across Europe
- Constructing a range of liability side strategies and optimal capital structures.
You will have:
- Experience in loan portfolio buy/sell, forward flows, senior/mezz financing and all types of securitizations.
- A “liability mindset”
- Strong communication and analytical skills – written and verbal.
- Ideally buy-side experience.
- Ideally strong understanding of Rating Agency methodologies and “ABS-ability” of different asset types and transaction structures.
- Ideally will have also worked with non-FIG corporates on ABL transactions.
- A network of third parties - can tend to and cultivate same in parallel to transaction execution.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting / prudential (inc. securitisation) regulation.
- Able to independently read legal documentation.
- Intellectual curiosity
- A willingness to travel
