Credit Research Analyst

An asset management firm is seeking a Credit Research Analyst to join its Global Credit investment team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to portfolio performance through high-quality credit analysis, thoughtful recommendations and informed macro insights. The successful candidate will work as part of a small, collaborative team gaining exposure to a broad universe of issuers across multiple sectors. Key Responsibilities:Conduct rigorous fundamental credit research, including detailed financial modelling and relative value analysis to support investment decisionsProduce clear, well-argued recommendations for the inclusion or removal of issuers within portfoliosMaintain regular dialogue with team members and utilise external research to share insights and inform investment decisionsParticipate in issuer meetings, roadshows and ongoing monitoring, ensuring research notes are kept updated to reflect evolving credit fundamentalsStay informed on market developments, regulatory changes, macroeconomic trends and sector-specific factors that may impact credit quality or portfolio positioningContribute to risk management and asset allocation decisions across portfoliosWork collaboratively with sustainability and ESG specialists to ensure appropriate screening and alignment with firmwide principles.Candidate Requirements:3-6 years of relevant experience in credit research at an asset manager or credit rating agency, covering corporate or financial issuersStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and evaluate creditworthinessCFA qualification (or progress towards it) Advanced financial modelling skillsAbility to form independent views, challenging constructively and communicate recommendations confidently to others Demonstrates Intellectual curiosity, proactive nature and strong self-motivation Team player with excellent communication skills Mason Blake acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
