Off The Fence, a Christian charity, is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our fundraising team. This role is pivotal in executing our revenue plan for this year and the 5-year strategic plan set by our Trustees and CEO. The Community Fundraising Lead will be responsible for managing events, cultivating corporate and church relationships, supporting local fundraisers and contributing to our external profile. 


Salary: £30,000 per annum (full-time)


Role: An important outward-looking role within the Christian charity Off The Fence. The key objectives are to generate awareness and support from businesses and churches across Sussex via new initiatives, networking, and partnership building, alongside creating and managing fundraising events (corporate and general) that contribute to marketing and revenue budgets. Experience in fundraising and the use of CRMs and associated tools is essential. 


Main Duties:


Public fundraising strategy:

·       Develop a new public fundraising strategy for Off The Fence, focusing on the key audiences of businesses, churches and individuals

·       Ensuring the Christian culture and ethos of OTF is represented to all the key audiences 

·       Establish a clear pipeline for new and existing contacts

·       Design an annual calendar of events, asks and activities/products to steward all key relationships across the year


Corporate Partnerships and Fundraising:

·       Take responsibility, with the fundraising team, for revenue from the corporate sector

·       Deepen relationships with existing corporate partners and establish new connections and partnerships, while maintaining the Christian values of OTF

·       Use existing contacts to draw in corporate volunteering opportunities


Church Relations:

·       Develop and maintain strong relationships with local churches, ensuring they are aware of Off The Fence's Christian mission and impact

·       Coordinate regular communication with churches, including updates, newsletters, and invitations to events

·       Organise and deliver presentations and prayer meetings to church congregations to raise awareness and support for the charity


Networking and Community Engagement:

·       Attend networking events to ensure the Christian message of OTF is represented

·       Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders

·       Support individuals with their fundraising activities


Additional Responsibilities:

·       Update and maintain the CRM, ensuring it is up-to-date

·       Deliver reports and insight into activity, including pipelines and income

·       Feed into fundraising planning, budgets, and forecasts

·       Deliver and attend in-house training and other fundraising training courses

·       Attend and lead regular supervision and team/prayer meetings


Personal specification:

·       To be a committed Christian who agrees with OTF's statement of faith

·       High level of verbal, written and presentation skills

·       Driving licence and use of car
