The role Rendesco is looking to hire a motivated, energetic, and like-minded Installation Supervisor to support the engineering team in a period of significant growth. The Installation Supervisor will oversee the on-site delivery of a pioneering heat network, including civil works, pipelaying (800mm to 40mm), plantroom structures, mechanical and electrical fit-outs, and HIU unit installations. This hands-on role ensures high-quality delivery and offers a long-term opportunity in a multi-phase development. This role combines hands-on supervision of installation teams with responsibility for quality assurance and project coordination. Your work will include: Supervision & Coordination:Lead installation engineer teams on 4th & 5th Generation Heat Networks, including pump rooms, plant rooms, energy centres, and residential properties. Technical Oversight:Ensure correct installation of Heat Interface Units (HIUs), pipefitting, and large-scale pipework (fusion welding, butt welding, steel, ductile iron 400800mm). QA/QC (SimPRO):Take ownership of inspections, documentation, certificates, and reports, ensuring compliance with industry, Rendesco, and customer standards. Provide feedback to subcontractors and engineering teams. Project Interface:Attend contractor and customer meetings, manage stakeholders, report on project progress and variations, and oversee on-site Health & Safety. Problem Solving:Diagnose and resolve operational issues within heat pump systems. Commissioning Support:Oversee handover from installation teams to commissioning engineers, ensuring readiness for system commissioning. About you Industry Experience:Demonstrated success in renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors, with insight into sustainable andenergy-efficient practices.Ideally with a proven professional background in plumbing and/or pipefitting, with strong practical skills in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting water and heating systems. Technical Leadership:Ability to guide and oversee Installation Engineers, ensuring innovative, efficient, and high-quality solutions. Inspection & Testing:Experience producing inspection reports for equipment and installations, ideally within renewable energy or district heating projects. Hydraulic Systems Knowledge:Strong technical understanding of flow and pressure principles to design, install, and maintain safe, efficient systems. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of UK Building Regulations (Part G) and other hot water system standards, ensuring safe and compliant installations. Qualifications and desired skills: Engineering or Plumbing Qualification:NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) ensuring an understanding of industry standards and best practices SSSTSSite Supervisor Qualification - (Ideal) Whats in it for you?
