About the scheme

On our 3-year scheme you will gain experience and expertise in all aspects of water industry work, from regulation through project development, to design and construction.You will receive dedicated support in your development towards ICE Chartered Engineer or Chartered Geologist status. What will I be doing?

  • Developing your knowledge of reservoir construction, operation, maintenance and management, Health & Safety techniques and the regulatory environment.
  • Working both individually and as a member of a team growing a working knowledge of managing interfaces with other disciplines e.g. Geotechnical Civil, Hydraulics, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction, Operation etc is required.
  • Growing your experience and expertise in data gathering and analysis required for the engineering design and asset maintenance.
  • Communicating concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What do I need to be successful?

  • Master's degree level qualified. Either:

    • 4-year MEng Civil Engineering

    or alternatively

    • BSc Engineering Geology / Geotechnical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Geology combined with an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering / Engineering Geology / Soil Mechanics or Foundation Engineering.
    • Technically competent with good planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
    • Great interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
    • Excellent teamwork skills, possessing ambition and drive

Our recruitment process requires you to complete:

  • A numerical and deductive reasoning test
  • A one-way video interview
  • An assessment centre, which will take place between 27th November - 6th December 2024.
