About the Role
The Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for the execution of day-to-day digital marketing activities and campaigns on behalf of britweb’s digital marketing clients. The role requires a good working knowledge of all major digital marketing channels, with a particular focus on SEO, content marketing and email.
Key Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Assisting the Senior Digital Marketing managers across a diverse range of B2B and B2C clients.
- Contribute to and execute client online marketing strategies.
- Liaise closely with clients via email and online meetings.
- Work to improve clients’ SEO, customer engagement and conversions by:
- Creating, editing, proofreading and publishing content.
- Improving on-page and technical SEO using Semrush, Screaming Frog etc.
- Devising, writing, building, testing and scheduling email campaigns.
- Monitor and report on progress and performance to ensure our efforts are delivering enquiries/sales of high quality.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Senior Digital Marketing Managers.
- Keep up to date with changes within the industry.
About You
You will be a passionate, proactive, and flexible digital marketer who can quickly pivot between clients and tasks as needed, with:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience across a range of digital marketing channels, including SEO, content marketing, email, websites, and social media, preferably in an agency environment.
- Excellent copywriting and copy-editing skills to create clear, engaging and search-optimised content for client brands. Knowledge of AI writing tools would be beneficial.
- A good understanding of Google Analytics, SEO, PPC and paid social media campaign development, execution and reporting
- - Experience writing briefs, liaising with agencies and contributing to the creative development of engaging campaigns
- A strong understanding of tactics and strategies to improve quality lead-generation.
- You understand how to provide excellent user experiences online and how to structure websites and pages for maximum clarity.
- Experience in email campaign creation, preferably using MailChimp.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of a client’s brand, positioning and target demographic.
- Work within a tight-knit team and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across multiple client accounts.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 2 years experience in B2B and B2C digital marketing, preferably in an agency environment, with a focus on SEO.
- A degree in a relevant discipline.
- Appropriate digital marketing qualification(s) e.g. CIM, IDM, Google.
- Experience using common SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
- Experience with Google Analytics (preferably Google Certified), and preferably Google Tag Manager.
- A very high standard of written English.
- Experience using WordPress and/or other Content Management Systems.
- Demonstrable experience in creating and executing email marketing campaigns, preferably in MailChimp.
- Excellent IT skills e.g. Google Suite / MS Office.
- An independent operator, able to use initiative, predict & solve problems.
