Band DFull Time 36 hours per week 38 weeks per yearRequired from 17/03/2026We seek to appoint a Laboratory Technician with particular responsibilities to the chemistry department working alongside other Science staff and assisting school support staff at times of high demand.The Chemistry Department is part of a large and successful science department. At present the department consists of 4 dedicated laboratories and a central prep room facility shared by the chemistry staff.At GCSE students either choose separate science or combined science in Year 10.At A level there are 3 groups in Year 12 and 3 groups in Year 13.The Science Department has 14 members of staff and 3 technicians one in biology 1 in chemistry and 1 in physics.Wirral Grammar School for Girls is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
