Our Water sector contractor client is seeking a Site Manager to join their construction team working on Knapps Mill, Christchuch, a Bournemouth Water site.The role requires extensive pre construction experience and water sector experience is essential. The project is expected to be around £70m.You will report directly to the Programme Manager/Senior Project Manager and your role will cover leading and directing the site team to coordinate the safe management of all operational activities on all projects ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a wholeManage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriateAdopt, maintain and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resourcesEnsure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updatedEnsure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updatedEnsure all "as constructed" records are provided to the CDMC for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner following scheme completionSkills/experience/qualificationsRecognised Civil Engineering/Site Management QualificationsHealth, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate)CSCS Site Manager (Min)First Aid at WorkExperience in the Water/Waste Water Treatment Industry BenefitsSalary will be dependant on experience but £50-55k - may consider higher25 days holiday plus bank holidaysMay be a little flex but candidate needs to be commutable to siteCash car allowance or carHost of other company benefitsWorking for a TIER 1 water sector contractor with support/development and progression routes
