Job Details:
- Job Title: Oncology Pharmacist (Band 7/8a)
- Location: NHS Hospital - West Midlands (Outskirts of Birmingham)
- Duration: 4-6 months
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing contract with possible extension
- Rate of Pay: £28 - £37 per hour (DOE & banding)

What You'll Be Doing:
Join our NHS client's team as an Oncology Pharmacist and play a key role in improving the lives of patients undergoing oncology treatments. In this role, you will:

  1. Screen oncology prescriptions to ensure patient safety and compliance.
  2. Provide clinical pharmacy support in oncology and chemotherapy services.
  3. Work within hospital wards, liaising with consultants and nursing staff.
  4. Deliver evidence-based pharmaceutical care to optimize patient outcomes.
  5. Maintain accurate medication records and contribute to MDT meetings.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. GPhC registration as a pharmacist.
  2. Prior experience in oncology pharmacy (hospital setting preferred).
  3. Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
  4. The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  5. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This flexible locum position requires availability from Monday to Friday with potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
