Inventum has partnered with a government organisation looking for an Employee Engagement and Communications Manager (Contract), 3 Months, based in Bristol, Inside IR35. £160 a day covering leave within the team.

Experience Needed:

  • A degree or relevant equivalent industry or vocational qualification, and/or substantial experience of working in a communications or employee engagement role.
  • Experience and understanding of a variety of innovative tools and techniques that can be used to change attitudes, perceptions and behaviours, including experience of using digital channels.
  • Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to write concisely, accurately and in an engaging way for a variety of audiences: Being able to create, edit, proof and present information effectively in different formats.
  • Practical skill in developing and delivering integrated communications and employee engagement strategies to meet project outcomes and timescales.
  • Confident working under pressure, to deadlines and while managing multiple projects simultaneously; with a track record of delivering on time.
  • Ability to offer communications and employee engagement advice to officers at all levels, including having confidence to negotiate and liaise with senior managers. Credible champion of communication activity that adds value, with the ability to assess and influence where and how this is delivered.
  • Finding solutions to meet business and reputational requirements whilst providing excellent service to clients. Good problem-solving skills, including working within limited budgets and timeframes.
  • To work effectively as part of a team whilst also being able to work independently and make confident decisions.
  • Proven ability to critically research, monitor and evaluate communication and employee engagement activity in order to seek continual improvement in the service provided to clients.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of equalities and diversity issues.
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications

Desirable Experience:

  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing or the Chartered Institute of Public Relations or other recognised organisation
  • An understanding of political sensitivities and experience of partnership working
  • Experience and/or understanding of formal market research techniques and/or statistical interpretation and analysis
