I am seeking an experienced NPD Manager for a food manufacturing site based near Blackburn. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving product innovation, managing product development projects, and working with cross-functional teams.

Michael Page is working with a well-established food manufacturer to recruit an NPD Manager for their manufacturing site near Blackburn. Established over 170yrs ago, this organisation supplies to both retailers and fast-food businesses throughout the UK.

Description

The NPD Manager will report into the Commercial Director and will:

  • Drive product innovation and development
  • Manage the full NPD / EPD gate process ensuring all stakeholders are kept up to date and all customer dates are achieved
  • Present all gate 1 briefs to the Senior Management team
  • HACCP Approval - across all current and new ingredients
  • Micro and Organoleptic testing
  • Manage all relevant paperwork including specifications
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Ensure all products meet the company's high quality standards
  • Conduct market research to inform product development strategies
  • Regularly review and improve product development processes
  • Report on product development activities and project progress

Profile

The successful NPD Manager should have will possess a range of the following:

  • Experience with NPD Management role
  • Experience working within Food Manufacturing Facility- ideally bakery sector
  • Excellent organisational, project management and time management skills
  • Clear and professional presentation skills and Excellent attention to detail
  • Commercial experience of retail and consumer, customer and industry awareness
  • SAP literate (advantageous)
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to work with suppliers and stakeholders
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to conduct market research and inform development strategies
  • Pride, passion and commitment
